Greetings from Canada
January 4th, 2021
Hello Tim,
Greetings from Canada. It feels good to be back on Canadian soil, but we did enjoy our stay in Germany for my spinal surgery. We arrived home on December 9th. My surgery went well and was successful. Prof. Dr. Bertagnoli was able to give me a two-level ADR with a DSS stabilizer at the L5-L4 level instead of a fusion. I was elated with that news. We praise the Lord, that is what I had been praying for. After four extra days in the hospital due to slight infection in my back incision, I was discharged on November 30th.
On two separate occasions, Peter Hoch took my wife and I touring around the countryside to see various places of interest. We greatly enjoyed the opportunity to see some of Germany. The pain I had before surgery is all gone and I am only dealing with minimal pain from the surgery itself. My recovery has been going very well and I am looking forward to near complete mobility in the future.
We would like to extend our heart-felt gratitude for all the prompt and timely help we received from you in coordinating and making this trip possible, especially with the added complications from Covid-19. We so appreciate your hard work. May you have a healthy and prosperous New Year.
Many Thanks,
Paul and Marlene Shantz
